Construction supervision for four lanes of NH2 from Handia to Varanasi Khaga
Meinhardt (Singapore) has been appointed by National Highway Authority of India through World Bank competitive bid system to undertake the construction supervision for the four lanes and strengthening of the existing two-lane sections. The project stretches across the existing two-lane section of Handia-Varanasi (245 km to 317km) i.e 72 km; Package- TNHAP/IIIC on NH – 2, which includes 255m of structures.
Package III-C involves a large-scale construction of rigid pavement roads of length 57.09km. Besides this, bituminous pavement construction involving the use of Crumb Rubber Modified Bitumen (CRMB-60) is being used in the remaining stretch in Package III-C is 87.69km. The package also involves the construction of service roads, separation barriers and side drainage through the urban stretches.
